Building Boys into Responsible Men
When traditional rites of passage were abandoned in favour of Western cultural practices, something important was lost—the traditional community-based upbringing of our boys.
Today, we have young men who may have grown physically, but have not necessarily been equipped with the knowledge, values, discipline and practical life skills needed to navigate adulthood.
Many important lessons of life are simply not taught in school.
The RISING BOYS INITIATIVE seeks to fill that gap.
We will guide and train boys in important areas of life that go beyond the classroom—including responsibility, discipline, character, leadership, relationships, respect, resilience, culture, personal development and practical life skills.
At the end of the programme, participants will graduate as ASINGI—a traditional Kamba recognition associated with completing an important stage of the rites of passage.
🎓 THE GRAND GRADUATION
Parents and families will be invited to celebrate this important milestone, with entertainment from renowned Kamba Kilumi dance troupes, bringing culture, music and celebration together.

We will nurture him, challenge him, guide him and prepare him for responsible manhood.
